"In partnership with a horse, one is seldom lacking for thought, emotion and inspiration. One is always attended by a great companion." Charles de Kunffy |
From the book: "Horses Are Made To Be Horses": "...the Lord looked down on a Sunday morning and saw that something was missing - something that represented His patience, His understanding, His love, His everything, indeed all that was good -and He created the horse. Franz Mairinger

Hi Ho Tin Foil - "Sammy"
Saturday October 27th, it was a rainy day and Alex and Andrea got together to say goodbye to Hi Ho Tin Foil. I remember the day that Alex and I went to try Sammy at White Fox Farm and I was amazed at how well Alex, a beginner at the time, got along with this strong and frisky horse. It was a match made in heaven as she went on to show him in numerous Children's Jumper Classes at shows such as Saratoga, Hits, Syracuse PHA, and Elmira. As lives changed and Alex moved away we went about trying to find him a retirement home. That's where Andrea became Sammy's new friend. They also bonded right away, and Andrea took him into her care. Sammy had the best care around for the last year of his life, as his cancer grew much faster than any of us expected. The decision was made by both Alex and Andrea and they were able to come together to say goodbye. I know it was very hard but I can't imagine a better way for it all to happen. The two girls that loved him unconditionally, by his side, to the end.
